Intel Compute Stick

Intel Compute Stick – A 4inch CPU in your hand

Intel has once again emerged in the tech era with its new Compute Stick. Believe it or not it’s a CPU at a size of about 4 inches but what is truly remarkable is what it has inside of it. Never would we have imagined that a quad-core 1.3GHz Intel Atom processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space and 64MB (dedicated) Intel HD Graphics with windows 8.1 can actually be fit inside of a dongle, well that’s what Intel has done.

And not only that but it also comes with a micro SD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards. There's a USB port were  you can plug in external devices like your keyboard or mouse, and Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity is built-in. Bluetooth 4.0 is also available and the Compute Stick comes with McAfee® Antivirus Plus for comprehensive protection.

What more can one ask for if something that fits your palm  can be plugged into any HDMI port TV or monitor and be transformed into your pc. You can do any of the tasks that you do on your computer today. All you need is a wireless keyboard and mouse and you’re set.

Ultimately this is something that can offer a full windows experience to those on-the-move developers or business users who require remote IT support at any time. There’s no time lag in loading programs and streaming of HD videos is flawless yet you gotto rule out the thought about gaming or complex tasks such as image or video editing. And one of the main drawbacks towards it would be its power source. As it has no inbuilt battery it needs to be plugged in at all times and the Bluetooth reliability is more towards worse.

Having said all of that I would just conclude as Intel said it, Built to Perform. Designed to Fit. It’s a limited specs edition of a CPU at a very small size that fits your pocket
